Busworld Europe 2025 gave people's mobility a new direction at Brussels Expo. It marked the largest edition in the event's history, where a stronger universe of the bus and coach fraternity rewrote people mover benchmarks, writes Ashish Bhatia.
Busworld Europe 2025 was a resounding success, met with enthusiasm by both the Brussels weather and the bus and coach fraternity. The Heisel station welcomed attendees with a crisp atmosphere, where a striking blood-red Yutong U11DD double-decker served as the event's mascot, symbolising the future of people movers and new industry benchmarks. For an industry navigating rapid advancements in electrification, digitalisation, safety, and comfort, this year's Busworld Europe delivered on its promise, transcending a mere exhibition to genuinely engage the fraternity in real-world transitions. It truly was a convergence of technology, policy, and people, with platforms, parts, aggregates, and ancillaries redefining industry benchmarks. Products, both legacy and new, pushed the envelope! Reflecting on the show's spirit, Mieke Glorieux, Managing Director of Busworld Europe, expressed, “After months of preparation, the moment the doors open is always special. A feeling shared by every stand manager and communication team. The positive energy during the show is incredible, and when the bus horns echo on the final day at 18:00, it's hard to say goodbye. A big thank you from the whole team to all exhibitors, visitors and supporters — you drive us!”
Held at the flagship Brussels Expo, Busworld expanded its footprint from 75,000 to 82,000 sq. m., highlighting both the demand and dynamism within the collective passenger transport sector, despite navigating headwinds. With 559 exhibitors from over 40 countries, including 81 bus and coach OEMs showcasing a collaborative effort, the fully booked event saw the bus and coach universe grow even larger, with legacy brands returning to the EU after previous exits and new entrants marking their debut.
