Food Network star Chef Duff Goldman, 49, is beloved by millions for his charm and whimsy on Kids Baking Championship and hit Baking Championship seasonal series. And this Halloween, he's sharing his magical recipe for turning life's obstacles into opportunities and sweet success

"Every day is a new chance to make magic!"

Given his talent in the kitchen, it’s hard to believe being a baker wasn’t Duff Goldman’s first career choice. “I wanted to be a musician,” the chef shares with Woman’s World.

While he pursued that dream, Duff needed a way to pay the rent and started Charm City Cakes out of his Baltimore apartment.

“People would call me asking for the craziest cakes—especially at Halloween!—and I’d never say no,” he shares.

His reputation for innovative confections spread and a new dream was born. In 2006, Food Network gave Duff his own show, Ace of Cakes, and soon he had five thriving bakeries. Now, he also ships his cakes nationwide through Goldbelly.com. Read on as Duff shares how being open to change can lead to a magical life.

Duff is no stranger to adding a little fun and flair to his cakes and creations, so recently, he teamed up with Hallmark on the company’s Hallmark Celebrate! line of products. “It has all your favorite party essentials, like cake decorations, candles, plates, napkins, themed decor and place mats,” Duff says. “It has a wide selection that you can mix and match. You can even create your own treat bags.” Check out The Hallmark + Duff collection at Hallmark.com when planning your Halloween and other holiday celebrations.
