Business specialist Cameron Wislang offers his five top tips for managing your money
HOW TO BUDGET LIKE A LEGEND

My name is Cameron, and I'm a Kāpiti Coast-based father-of-two and a supernerd when it comes to numbers. I love a good spreadsheet.

I've been writing budgets for as long as I can remember. I love taking someone's figures and breaking them down into a colour-coded, interactive spreadsheet to help them set goals and realise their potential. Hot, right?

What I've learnt from all this, I want to share with you: This whole budgeting, sorting-out-your-money thing whatever you want to call it - is not impossible. It's not something only smart, educated or lucky people can do. It's something that every single person can accomplish. You might need a helping hand along the way, but I believe in you. You have just as much ability as anyone else to do this.

There's no age limit for financial literacy. Start where you are. There is always space for you at the table.

TRICK YOURSELF INTO BETTER HABITS

What can you do to help your funky little brain with money? Well, I'm not going to spout useless tips that tell you to be "mindful" or do "better" - if only our brains were programmed that way! Instead, here are five sneaky tricks that might actually work when Uber Eats is calling even though the fridge is full.
