Gatland's message to Jac after omission

WARREN Gatland has issued a message to Jac Morgan and the other British and Irish Lions left out of the first Test squad, urging them to play a vital role despite their understandable disappointment.

The former Wales and Lions head coach, writing in his Telegraph column, addressed those omitted from Andy Farrell's 23-man squad to face Australia in Brisbane today.
Among the most high-profile absentees is Wales captain Morgan the only Welshman now on the tour - who has missed out on selection for the series opener.
Morgan had been tipped by many to feature, especially after his fantastic showing on tour to date, with many of his statistics eclipsing his rivals for the seven jersey, Tom Curry and Josh van der Flier.
