LAKESIDE RETREAT

Lake Sports Complex, located in Sector 1 of Chandigarh, is popularly known as Lake Club. Only members have access to the complex including its restaurant and parking. I first visited the Lake Sports Complex about a decade back as it was the venue of a literature festival. At the time of festivals, entry to the complex for the public is free. Flaunting sprawling lawns, the lush-green complex has since become a regular venue for prestigious literature festivals held every year in Chandigarh.
The picturesque Lake Club is situated around one end of famed Sukhna Lake of Chandigarh. I developed an interest to become its member so that I could take advantage of its parking and its restaurant apart from having access to an exclusive part of the lake side. This part is uncrowded and exclusive.
On enquiry from the office of the Complex, I found that taking membership was rather easy. Ihad to choose a sport from the list and pay the membership fee for availing the sports facility. As my intent was only to have access to the complex and its facilities, 1 randomly chose Table-Tennis. The membership cost of around Rs 1000 p.m. was worth it.

Our Invisible Self~II
Theordinaryman’smemory cannot hold the consciousness of allexperiences, but the underlyingdivine power or memory retains everything. Put differently, an ordinary mortal may forget things, but his subconscious ‘self registers everything. However, his super-consciousness, with divine felicity, remembers everything. Through this timeless memory, He (God) wants us to remember our own divine origin and go back to it
