Governor Highlights Coffee Potential, OCGA Seeks Policy Push

Koraput can emerge as a major coffee hub if the acreage under plantation is expanded, observed Governor Haribabu Kambhampati while interacting with coffee farmers, private growers, Coffee Board members, and district officials at the Coffee Board premises here on Monday.
The Governor urged the Coffee Board and district administration to prepare a detailed map identifying exact locations suitable for coffee cultivation. Given that Koraput is a Scheduled Area, he suggested the map should clearly indicate land ownership, distinguishing tribal holdings from general category land.
"Such clarity will enable planned investment and attract private planters from across the country," he said.
