OBSERVING that women facing domestic issues should be strong and look for alternative ways to solve their problem instead of choosing to end their lives, the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court recently acquitted a mother-daughter duo who was convicted for abetting the suicide of a woman in Thanjavur in 2015.
The deceased's husband was working abroad and she was living with her mother-in-law along with her minor son. It was alleged the deceased frequently faced torture at the hands of the mother-daughter duo. Her mother-in-law had also allegedly objected to the deceased's decision to work as a school
