Mewar mourns death of descendant of Maharana Pratap in Udaipur

ARVIND SINGH MEWAR, a member of the erstwhile royal family of Mewar and a descendant of the legendary Maharana Pratap, died at the City Palace in Udaipur early on Sunday after prolonged illness, his family said. He was 81.
Arvind Singh was the younger son of Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar and Sushila Kumari Mewar. His son Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar shared a message on his social media account, announcing that the final rites of the 'Ekling Diwan' would take place on Monday at 11 am. The Mewar royal family considers Lord Eklingji as the true ruler, while they serve as his Diwan (minister).
