In retrospect, the visual of it is not very different from the way the season has gone for the two Chennai Super Kings openers. Conway -458 runs from 10 innings, fourth-highest run-getter after the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday. Gaikwad is not too far behind either, with 384 runs, but it would not be unfair to say that he had to wait and watch as Conway rack up big scores for fun - something he himself is known for.
