DAILY MAIL "With President Trump launching a tariff war and calling for Canada to become the 51st state of the Union, the King's visit was more than symbolic. Although most of the address was written by others, he is said to have had considerable influence over its contents. There was no direct criticism of President Trump but the message was clear.
'Democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination and freedom are values which Canadians hold dear and the government is determined to protect,' he said. It was a model of assured diplomacy that would have made his mother proud."
