PLYMOUTH Argyle will have at least 24 of their games shown on Sky Sports next season as part of a new five-year £935 million EFL broadcast deal.
That total includes the Pilgrims' opening match of the 2024/25 Championship campaign the fixtures for all EFL clubs will be released at 9am on Wednesday, June 26 - as well as their Carabao Cup first round tie.
Every Argyle game outside the '3pm blackout' on a Saturday will be broadcast live by Sky Sports. Those are the matches on the opening and final weekend, midweeks and bank holidays Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday plus all Carabao Cup ties involving the Pilgrims.
On the opening weekend of the 2024/25 season, two Championship games will be played at 8pm on Friday, August 9, another eight on the Saturday that will all kick-off at either 12.30pm, 3pm or 5.30pm, and then two more on the Sunday at a time to be confirmed.
The '3pm blackout' will not apply in this case because the Premier League season does not begin until the following weekend.
No new broadcast slots are being created, with five Championship matches and five League One and League Two fixtures broadcast each standard weekend. That means there will be televised games on Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime, as well as three Saturday 12.30pm kick-offs in the Championship.
