A PAIR of injured rabbits have been dumped on the roadside outside a Plymouth animal charity, just days before Easter.
The adorable bunnies were found in a small pet carrier by the entrance to Woodside Animal Welfare Sanctuary on the edge of Plympton.
The male lops rabbits had been abandoned without any food or bedding and both had injuries, which staff at the Sanctuary believe they had inflicted on each other.
As staff at Woodside now care for the new arrivals, who they have named Mark and Jeremy, they have made an urgent plea to the public not to buy bunnies as gifts this Easter.
