It is much better than last year. Albi are enjoying a comfortable mid-table position and the mighty Rosslyn Park are in the Ocean City for the big game at the Brickfields today.
Despite a reversal in Reading last time out, coach Ryan Lamb was full of praise for the Albion players when he said: "I was proud of how the lads stuck to the task against top of the table Rams. We were competitive throughout and ran them close confirming that we can compete with any side in this league."
Promotion-chasing Rosslyn Park are third in the table and will be targeting a win. Winning all but one at home, Albi too will be looking for maximum points to consolidate our own league position.
All in all it promises to be a real cracker of a game at the Brickfields this afternoon, for players and fans alike.
In conjunction with Dylan Ramsey, from the Marjon media department, Albion released a new video this week promoting the character and values of the club as seen through the eyes of players past, present and future.
Past player Graham Hannaford recounted a game he played away to Bristol. England Captain John Pullen was just one of many international players of the field that day.
"Plymouth is a big city," said Graham. "If you come from Plymouth, surely you will want to put on Albion's unique white shirt and feel the pride from wearing it?" he concluded.
