Prepare to be dazzled when light festival hits Devonport

DEVONPORT is set to come alive this month with a new captivating light experience celebrating 200 years of history.

Real Ideas is bringing the Dazzle Light Festival to the city between February 27 and March 5, following a £246,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The event is a culmination of a series of projects marking the bicentennial of the Devonport's renaming and honouring its transformation over the centuries.

People can expect four nights of illuminations in Devonport that are completely free to visit, as well as projection mapping, interactive light installations for all ages and a first of its kind 360-degree immersive experience at the Market Hall dome.

Other areas that will be transformed include the Devonport Column and Devonport Towers.
