Hobbs so proud as Parkway dig deep and muster a draw
The Herald|April 18, 2024
PLYMOUTH Parkway manager Lee Hobbs could not hide his pride after his team fought back twice to claim a 2-2 draw at Poole to take them out of the Southern League premier Division relegation zone on Tuesday night.

After falling 1-0 and 2-1 behind, striker Reece Thomson struck in stoppage time to earn a draw that Parkway more than deserved on the balance of play. And given this was their seventh game in just 18 days, it is testament to the spirit, character and fitness of the Parkway players that they salvaged something from the game.

"I am knackered with all the travelling we have done and I know my players are younger than the coaching staff, but they have to do that and run around and play a game of football," Hobbs said. "The schedule is absolutely brutal, we are going here, there and everywhere and we are having to work as well - and what they did is unbelievable.

"We only went up there with 14 men there was no Oscar Halls, Ryan Lane of Callum Hall and we had three centre forwards on the bench. Fortunately we didn't get any injuries in any of the other units of the pitch, but this team does not know when it is beat.
