THE facade of an imposing post-war building in Plymouth city centre is set to undergo a major restoration project, which will include repairing beautiful and intricate mosaic tiles.
Scaffolding has already gone up at the Grade II listed Royal Bank of Scotland/NatWest building, and work is set to begin on site.
Last year, Luke Pollard, Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, launched a Buildings At Risk campaign, which featured 10 historic but neglected buildings in the city. The RBS building was featured on the list and, when the bank submitted its planning application for the facelift, he described this as "another step forward".
