DIVISION ONE
Chaddy A then secured the next eight matches but lost the doubles to Foster and John Steuart in five ends.
The whole evening saw some outstanding play with no less than 13 ends being won with a margin of just two points.
Astor A went into their final match against Shopfitting By SWS B knowing that they needed at least a draw to stand a chance of staying in the Division. The evening started with two very close five ends, with John Sherlock losing to Martin Parnell and Steve Garlick being edged out by Gary West.
The remainder of the results continued in the same way, with Astor unable to push any of the singles over the line and going 9-0 down.
