PARKING outside a Plymouth school has become a ‘nightmare’ for parents who claim they are being ‘targeted’ by enforcement officers – something the council has strongly denied.
Parents and guardians of children at St Matthew’s Church of England Primary and Nursery Academy, in Brest Road, Derriford, say they feeling ‘frustrated’ and ‘angry’ about the ongoing situation which has resulted in at least one fine being issued in the past week.
One dad claimed there is nowhere nearby suitable to park to pick up his daughter and that the current situation is “unfair on council taxpayers”. Another grandad said he is expecting a fine to arrive in the post after his car was photographed by officers as the situation with lack of spaces and ongoing building work rumbles on.
