The CM announced an increase in the DA of government officials and employees by 4% under the seventh pay scale, the benefits will be extended to state government pensioners while addressing a press conference at his official residence, capital city Raipur on Friday.
The increased DA will be effective from March 1, 2024.
The state government will also pay the last instalment of the arrears to the officials and employees under the seventh pay scale, the CM said.
The CM also informed that a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Panchayat, and Rural Development Secretary, Niharika Barik, which will review the issues of employees and suggest a resolution to the state government. He also announced that the government has taken a decision to provide relief to the village panchayat secretaries and agreed to compensate the wages for their 55-day strike period.
