MAHARASHTRA AIMS FOR $2 TRILLION ECONOMY BY 2035, SAYS FADNAVIS

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, revealed on Saturday that the state government is strategically positioning itself to accelerate economic growth, aspiring to achieve a gross domestic product (GDP) of $2 trillion (approximately Rs 165 lakh crore) by 2035.

Fadnavis outlined plans encompassing targeted investments and policy measures to expedite this ambitious economic milestone.

While acknowledging that Maharashtra's economy is projected to surpass the $1.5 trillion mark by 2035 through regular economic activities, Fadnavis expressed the state's commitment to fast-track this progress.
