India is positioned not only to achieve its ambitious goal of attaining 500 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030, but also to surpass it, fuelled by an expected decline in battery prices by 2025.

Ajay Mathur, Director General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), discussed this optimistic outlook in an interview with PTI. Mathur highlighted that this projected decline in battery costs could trigger the widespread adoption of solar plus battery solutions, ultimately leading to the realization of India's ambitious renewable energy target.
