DON: MO IS KOPPING IT... NEW BOYS MUST STEP UP
Sunday People
|October 12, 2025
DON HUTCHISON says Liverpool's new boys have to appreciate what playing for the club means - and start acting like it.
Liverpool have lost three games in row, the first time Arne Slot has done that in his managerial career so far.
A clash with Ruben Amorim's Manchester United is next up after the international break and Hutchison wants Anfield’s new stars to finally get going. The former Reds midfield maestro has also raised fears over talisman Mo Salah's drop in form.
Slot splashed serious cash on Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz (left) and Jeremie Frimpong in the summer - and Hutchison is not impressed so far.
Hutchison (inset) said: “The new signings have not hit the ground running. Frimpong is not playing well. He's lost his confidence, he can’t get the team going.
“Kerkez, I thought he would have been fine coming from Bournemouth.
