Kemi 'not surprised' Israel denied Labour MPs entry

A POLITICAL row has erupted after Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said she "wasn't surprised" two Labour MPs were deported from Israel.

Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed said they were on a trip to visit the occupied West Bank to "witness, first-hand, the situation" but were turned away at Tel Aviv airport.

Authorities there accused them of wanting "to document Israeli security forces and spread hateful rhetoric against Israel".

Mrs Badenoch told Sky News's Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips: "Every country should be able to control its borders, and that's what Israel is doing, as far as I understand. They gave reasons why they didn't believe that those people should come in based on their laws.
