Brandon Downey starred as Pompey Academy booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Portsmouth Senior Cup.
Brandon Downey netted twice in the Academy's Senior Cup win against the Army
The Northern Ireland under-17 international winger, who was signed from Irish club Crusaders in September for an undisclosed fee, struck twice in a 4-0 victory over the Army.
In a tie played at US Portsmouth's Victory Stadium, Downey opened the scoring seven minutes before halftime.
Sam Hudson's youngsters stepped it up in the second half, taking a 3-0 lead through Dane Bailey and Nathaniel Chioma.
