Call for development sites to meet 'ambitious' house building targets

COMMUNITIES are being asked to identify potential sites for new houses and employment in North Devon as authorities prepare the next planning blueprint for the area.

North Devon and Torridge district councils are inviting landowners, developers, residents and community groups to highlight land that could support sustainable development across northern Devon as part of the next local plan.

Councillor Bob Hicks, lead member for economy and estates at Torridge District Council, said: “The local plan is a pivotal piece of work that affects everyone in North Devon and Torridge, as it is the blueprint that sets out how we would like our communities to evolve over the coming years.
