The pair were both asleep in bed when Malcolm started punching him. Drink and drug-fuelled Malcolm, 34, then went downstairs and armed himself with a knife.
Malcolm went back to the bedroom and slashed him to the face, leaving him requiring 14 stitches and sustaining permanent scarring. He believed he was going to die as raging Malcolm unleashed his jealous fury.
