Glen Marlow, 29, stored huge quantities of cocaine and heroin, as well as the handgun, inside a red holdall which was spotted by police during a raid of his home in Gorton.
The items, along with almost £6,000 in cash, were seized by GMP's Challenger City of Manchester north team in October last year, after they received 'information from the public.
