A SERVING officer with Greater Manchester Police has been sacked after sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl while on duty. Pc Dean Dempster, 35, a response officer based in Oldham, previously pleaded guilty in February to sexually assaulting a child under 13.
He was convicted of sexually assaulting the young girl while responding to an incident on December 29 last year.
Greater Manchester Police received a complaint later that same day - and he was arrested by a supervisor within the Oldham District on New Year's Eve.
The force has since confirmed Dempster was sacked without notice at an accelerated misconduct hearing yesterday following the investigation into the sex attack.
