Another huge blow as knee injury rules Okoli out until festive period

CALEB Okoli has been ruled out until Christmas with a knee injury, leaving Leicester City with just two fit senior centre-backs heading into the busiest month of the campaign.

Okoli has missed the last two games since he was withdrawn at Norwich City after a heavy landing.

It had seemed that it was initially a shoulder injury for the Italian, but scans have shown he has a knee issue that will keep him out for the next few weeks.

Ben Nelson also remains sidelined with an ankle problem picked up at Carrow Road.

Although Australian international Harry Souttar is now back in training, he needs time to build up match fitness after a year out with an Achilles tear.

It means that City have just Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard available to play in the centre of defence.
