Pro coach Shane shares top advice for five-day fitness bonanza

IT IS finally upon us a five-day HYROX extravaganza kicks off today at the RDS in Dublin.

Thousands of people from beginners to elite athletes will take part from today to Sunday as the insanely popular fitness event goes to the next level in its Irish staging.

Athletes across the country are preparing to take on the challenge, which will see participants run eight one-kilometre loops, and compete in a different exercise station between each run.

FLYEfit staged a HYROX sim back in August at Swords Celtic, offering folks an opportunity to get a feel for the world's fastest-growing fitness race.

And the gym chain is back ahead of the events, with coach Shane Fallon to share expert insights on how to make the most of the final days before race day.

The good news is, according to Shane, the physical training is complete at this stage, and the focus should shift to recovery, preparation, and mindset.
