Wath inflict another defeat on Beverley as history repeats itself at Beaver Park

BEVERLEY RUFC's winless run continued, this time losing to Wath Upon Dearne at Beaver Park.

As per last year Wath inflicted Beverley’s fourth loss in a row at the start of the campaign.

Moving forward let's hope history repeats itself in that from now on they start collecting much-needed points.

The signs are promising as a young team acquitted itself splendidly and indeed at times looked like they could deliver a win.

The first half proved an even affair with a tightly fought first 20 minutes only resulting in a missed Beverley penalty.

The second quarter though burst into life.

Wath were first to score after an aimless Beverley kick into midfield was returned strongly before being spread wide for Wath's winger to surge over.
