LG Relaxes Edu, Age Rules for Employing 1984 Sikh Riot Victims

Delhi lieutenant governor (LG) VK Saxena on Saturday relaxed education and age-related criteria for 88 applicants for the post of multi-tasking staff (MTS) in various government departments under a rehabilitation package for victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, officials said on Sunday.

An official from the LG secretariat said that the decision was taken following representations from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, public representatives and groups of victims who met the LG recently.
