I sacrificed my dream career for my father: Navjot Singh Sidhu

Former cricketer, politician, commentator, and now reality show judge, Navjot Singh Sidhu has added yet another feather to his cap. The 61-year-old will be seen as a judge on a reality TV talent show, and says he is excited for this new phase.
Looking back at his long journey, Sidhu shared that it began with a sacrifice he made for his father. “I wanted to go into the Army and I cleared my IMA (Indian Military Academy) exam at the first attempt. But when I was about to go, my father stopped me and said, ‘Na jaa, main jee nahin paunga tere bina’. I sacrificed a career I foresaw for myself and realised a dream my father wanted: cricket,” he recalls.
