DM recommends naib tehsildar's suspension for negligence, driver arrested after registration of culpable homicide case
BAHRAICH: A 35-year-old man died as he was dragged for nearly 30 kilometers by a government vehicle after his motorcycle collided with the car in which the naib tehsildar was traveling on Nanpara-Bahraich road here on Thursday evening, officials said on Friday.
The incident prompted district magistrate Monika Rani to recommend suspension of naib tehsildar Shailesh Kumar Awasthi for negligence.
The victim, Narendra Kumar Haldar, got stuck under the government vehicle during the accident, and the car driver, oblivious to the situation, continued driving. The body was dragged all the way from Bahraich to Nanpara tehsil.
