India’s coffee exports, which are growing fast, will geta further boost from the operationalization of the India-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) from Monday, making Indian coffee competitive in the bloc of four countries , Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein, the commerce ministry said.

India’s coffee exports jumped 40.37% to $18 billion in 2024-25 from $1.29 billion in 2023-24.

Commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal said value addition in coffee is happening, with entrepreneurs entering areas like instant coffee, specialty coffee.
