NEW DELHI: India’s unemployment rate for people aged 15 and above held steady at 5.2% in October, unchanged from September, according to the latest government data released on Monday.

- Rhik Kundu

‘Aneasing in rural joblessness, down from 4.6% to 4.4%, was offset by a modest uptick in urban unemployment, which inched up from 6.8% to 7%, leaving the overall unemployment rate broadly stable from the previous month, showed the periodic labour force survey (PLFS) data released by the ministry of statistics & programme implementation (MoSP1).
