Airtel Prepays ₹5,985 Cr in Spectrum Dues to DoT

BHARTI AIRTEL HAS PREPAID an additional ₹5,985 crore of spectrum liabilities to the Department of Telecom (DoT), lowering its debt and cost of debt, the telco said on Wednesday.
The payments pertain to the high-cost interest liabilities of 8.65% from the 2024 auctions, the statement added.
