My husband had to quit work to care for our son, says Fall star

THE Fall actress Bronagh Waugh has revealed her partner had to give up work so she could continue acting after having a baby because childcare around London is so expensive.

The 40-year-old gave birth to son Oisín last year and was back at work three weeks later filming ITV drama Our House. She said, for the first six months, she “cobbled together” a system with help from her mother and actor friends who came on set with her.

But after being offered a lead role in crime drama Ridley, which meant moving to Manchester with a week’s notice, the family struggled to find childcare and realised her husband Richard Peacock would have to give up work.
