COUNCIL SAYS NO LAWFUL BASIS TO INVESTIGATE 'PRIVATE CONDUCT'
CALLS to take action against Derby’s deputy mayor after he was reportedly “banned” from Sainsbury’s have been dismissed.
Councillor Philip Ingall recently revealed he had been left feeling embarrassed and shocked following an incident at the Osmaston Park Road supermarket.
The Chellaston and Shelton Lock councillor said that during the summer of last year he went through the self-scanning checkout at the store.
When leaving he said he was stopped by security who told him he “hadn’t paid for everything”.
