SHELL OF A BONUS!

SHELL has pumped bonuses worth at least £344million to almost all its global staffto toast its record profits as the energy crisis cripples households and businesses.

The oil titan lavished workers with a top-up equal to 8% of their annual salary after it made £9.5billion in the second quarter of this year amid eversurging fuel prices.

Executive vice-presidents or higher will not receive the bonus.

The average salary for Shell UK employees is around £52,000 per year, meaning a British worker will get £4,200 each. It makes each payment close to the £3,600 a year increase households will face for energy bills from the start of 2023.
