WARRINGTON star Peter Mata'utia has revealed how his brave young son inspires him every day.
Messiah was just six years old when a tumour "the size of a football" was discovered in his stomach.
Doctors warned Mata'utia and his wife Casey to prepare for the worst as there was a danger he could die during surgery.
But, three years on, Messiah is thriving and needs just one more scan to come back negative for him to get the final all-clear.
Mata'utia said: "When we originally got the news of the tumour I was rattled, to be honest.
"Not just by that, but the fact that Messiah would come to me every morning and say, 'Don't cry, dad, it's alright!
"I should have been the one doing that for him. My wife was struggling as well but Messiah was so brave.
