TRIBUTES have been paid to an Aussie rules football player who died at the weekend after a suspected heart attack on the pitch.
Kingdom Kangaroos player Ross McGhie, 25, from Leven, Fife, is understood to have suffered a cardiac arrest while his team played their first game of the season, against the Glasgow Giants, in Linlithgow on April 13.
He passed away later that day.
His devastated mum Morna Hill shared the news on social media and said her family has been left "heartbroken".
She said: "This is the hardest post I have ever had to write but last night I got the phone call that every parent dreads.
