While Charlie Fellowes’ runner has yet to get his head in front, his five podium efforts to date suggest the necessary ability is there to score in this kind of company.

The three-year-old has proved equally as capable on turf and all-weather, going down by just a neck at Ffos Las last year and being beaten the same distance when last seen at Kempton a week ago.

He was possibly slightly unlucky to bump into a better-treated rival that day but his narrow defeat shows his current mark of 66 to be competitive.

Galileo Charm made an encouraging start to her career when second on debut at Kempton earlier in the month.
