MI5 uncovered 10 threats from brutal regime's agents this year

SECURITY services have uncovered at least 10 plots by Iran's intelligence agencies to kidnap or kill Brits on UK soil this year alone.

MI5 chief Ken McCallum revealed the threat yesterday - just days before England are due to face Iran in the World Cup in Qatar next Monday.

Labour MP Liam Byrne said: "If we've banned Russia from the World Cup, surely it's now time to ask why we're not banning Iran."

AT least 10 kidnap and murder plots by Iran against British citizens on UK soil have been foiled by the security services.

MI5 chief Ken McCallum said Tehran's "aggressive intelligence services" had targeted people seen as enemies of the regime.
