Potential chair also withdraws from process

- BY ALEXANDER BROWN Assistant Political Editor

THREE abuse survivors have quit their role on a grooming gangs inquiry panel as a minister insists the government is determined to deliver justice for the victims.

Fiona Goddard and Ellie-Ann Reynolds resigned from the inquiry’s victims and survivors liaison panel on Monday, and criticised the Home Office's handling of the issue.

They had raised concerns on the suitability of candidates, arguing they should not have a background in policing or social work.

A third called "Elizabeth" - not her real name - also stood down.
