WHAT a brilliant Budget from a fantastic Chancellor. Freezing rail fares for the first time in 30 years, freezing prescription charges, raising the minimum wage and the living wage, reforming property tax to ensure the rich pay their fair share and scrapping the two-child benefit cap to ease child poverty.

The Tories cared only for the richest 10% for 14 years. Labour has delivered for the 90% after less than two.

Former Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell must feel vindicated knowing the two-child benefit cap has been scrapped, after receiving a year long suspension from Labour for rebelling about it. His heart has always been with children in poverty.
