So close...brave Lions gave their all

ENGLAND'S Lions might be wounded, but they remain the pride of the nation.
The team's bid for glory ended in an agonising 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final last night.
But despite the heartbreak, they can find comfort in bagging a worthy prize - bringing the country together like never before.
Prince William, at the match in Berlin with Prince George, 10, was distraught by the end.
The Prince of Wales spoke for the nation in a message to the Three Lions squad, saying: "This time it just wasn't meant to be.
We're all still so proud of you. Onwards." William, 42, president of the Football Association, kicked and headed every ball of last night's tense final alongside his football-mad son in the Olympiastadion.
The King said in a statement: "To Gareth Southgate, although victory may have eluded you this evening, nevertheless my wife and I join all my family in urging you and your support team to hold your heads high.
"All those who have participated in sporting activities at any level will know how utterly despairing such a result can feel when the prize was so near - and will join me in sending heartfelt sympathy, even as we congratulate Spain.
"But please know that your success in reaching the European Championship final is a really great achievement in itself, and one that brings with it the pride of a nation which will continue to roar for the Three Lions today, and in the many triumphs which I have no doubt lie ahead."
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer posted on X, saying: "You made your country proud, England. Congratulations to Spain."
Captain Harry Kane said: "Losing in the final is as tough as it gets. We struggled.
