Star loses years-long cancer battle
GLADIATORS star Falcon has died after a long battle with cancer aged 59, it was revealed yesterday.
Bernadette Hunt joined the hit ITV series after training as a ballerina and an aerobics teacher.
She made her debut as Falcon on the show's second season in 1993, staying on until 1999.
At the height of its success, Gladiators was watched by up to 14 million viewers.
Falcon was considered to be the "nicest Gladiator" by many fans, and had the Queen song Breakthru as her theme tune.
