Fury as Capt Tom's family admit they kept £800,000 book profits

THE daughter of lockdown hero Captain Sir Tom Moore sparked fury yesterday after admitting she pocketed profits from books he wrote.

Hannah Ingram-Moore said her father wanted his family to keep the cash from his publications. It is reported the sum was £800,000.

The revelation provoked anger, with one person describing Sir Tom's family as a "disgrace to his name".

Another said: "Nothing seemed right from day one."

The Burma Campaign hero became a pandemic inspiration after helping to raise £39million for the NHS from his garden walks around the family's £1.2million mansion in Marston Moretaine, Beds. He died in February 2021 aged 100.
