Philippine Business Bank earns two-Golden Arrows for corporate governance excellence

The Philippine Business Bank (PBB) received the two-Golden Arrow award from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) this year, placing it among the top publicly listed firms in the Philippines that meet the standards of good corporate governance under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS).

The recognition represented a higher distinction for the company, which earned a one-arrow citation the previous year. For Philippine Business Bank, the award highlighted the company's efforts to maintain the trust of its stakeholders and to meet the international standards required by regulators.

The Golden Arrow awards measure how companies follow governance principles such as protecting shareholder rights, maintaining transparency, and holding accountability in operations. To receive two golden arrows, a company must score at least 85 points in the ICD's ACGS evaluation.

Vice Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer Rolando R. Avante said the award signifies the bank's consistent effort to meet regulatory standards and improve its governance framework.
